Maurice Sijbers of Hoeve de Bongerd in Beesel has been there since the first edition. For the anniversary edition, he teamed up with Sous Fresh account manager Roy van Ninhuijs with the Red Meat radish and fingerlime. The result? A colorful and surprising combination, full of pure flavors and new insights.
Maurice cooks with honesty and respect for the product. Vegetables and fruit play an increasingly important role in his kitchen, with inventive pairings, new cooking techniques and a strong focus on sustainability. Nothing is wasted, from stem to root. His goal is to create dishes that touch people and to inspire young people to take up the profession.
For Roy van Ninhuijs, the Inspiration Box is about inspiration and making life easier for clients. “The box is more than a collection of products. It allows us to inspire our customers and help them inspire their own clients in professional kitchens. When a customer asks when the next box will arrive, I know the previous one was a success.”

Maurice has been active as a chef for fifteen years and involved with the Inspiration Box since the first editions. At Hoeve de Bongerd – a restaurant with hotel rooms, meeting rooms, patio, terrace and party room – he combines ambitious cooking with accessible, honest dishes. His cuisine revolves around pure flavors, creativity with fruits and vegetables and sustainability: from head to stem, everything is utilized.

Roy works closely with customers and is the main contact for foodservice professionals and wholesale clients seeking fresh fruit and vegetables without hassle.
