As of October 1, 2025, H. Troost & Zn. will enter into a strategic partnership with Sous Fresh, a service provider for wholesale and foodservice companies. Both companies are renowned for their expertise in mixed pallets and their wide range of seasonal products, which they supply to customers across Europe.
A Choice for the Future
The decision to continue under the Sous Fresh banner feels like a logical strategic step. “Like us, Sous Fresh has years of experience with mixed pallets across Europe,” says Henk Troost about the family business’s move. His brother Jaco adds: “We also sense a shared passion for fresh produce, which feels familiar and aligns with our values. To remain relevant in the future, it’s important to look ahead. Sous Fresh has already made efficiency gains in recent years, which represents significant progress for our customers and suppliers.”
The brothers will remain connected to Sous Fresh’s trading activities, while shifting their focus to full pallets. This partnership allows customers to be fully supplied. All logistics staff will be offered positions at one of the Best Fresh partner companies in Poeldijk, and commercial staff will join Sous Fresh.
New Sales Office
The warehouse operations for Troost Jack’s mixed pallets will be relocated from Poeldijk to Venlo. At the same time, a new sales office will open next month at the ABC Westland business park in Poeldijk, from where customers will be served.
Sous Fresh, formerly PeDe, has been based in Venlo since 1966. In 2024, the subsidiary Sous Fresh Logistics was added. The fresh produce range is fully tailored to the needs of professional chefs, providing products and services that contribute significantly to the gastronomic experience of customers’ clients.

Sous Fresh is part of Best Fresh, a family of companies in fruits and vegetables, known for Farmhouse International, ABC Logistics, Europe Retail Packing, and Varekamp Coldstores.
